Take time to Become SHARP!

JUST SHARING Notes from live zoom meeting this week sorry if they are not in context… they are just notes.

Revelation is an invitation to a conversation.
Ask God Questions about what you see, hear, smell, taste and feel!

Gentle nudges are often doorways to the secrets of God.
isiah 45:3
I will give you hidden treasures,
riches stored in secret places,
so that you may know that I am the Lord

Kim Clement Story for into about revelation… what does It mean – and what do we do when we don’t understand what we see and get things that make no sense to us at the time.

James 2

Dear friends, do you think you’ll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really has it?

15 For instance, you come upon an old friend dressed in rags and half-starved
16 and say, “Good morning, friend! Be clothed in Christ! Be filled with the Holy Spirit!” and walk off without providing so much as a coat or a cup of soup – where does that get you?
17 Isn’t it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense?
18 I can already hear one of you agreeing by saying, “Sounds good. You take care of the faith department, I’ll handle the works department.” Not so fast. You can no more show me your works apart from your faith than I can show you my faith apart from my works. Faith and works, works and faith, fit together hand in glove
Isn’t it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense?

John 15:26-27 New King James Version (NKJV)

Key scripture is The Spirit is with us.

26 “But when the [a]Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. 27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
Maybe share more storys and encounters to help and show how to handle revelation and interaction with God.

Lets talk about Paul and Agabus the prophet. And prophetic revelation from a don’t go to a thank you for confirming and help me count the cost.
acts 21:10

After we had been there a number of days, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea. 11 Coming over to us, he took Paul’s belt, tied his own hands and feet with it and said, “The Holy Spirit says, ‘In this way the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem will bind the owner of this belt and will hand him over to the Gentiles.’”

12 When we heard this, we and the people there pleaded with Paul not to go up to Jerusalem. 13 Then Paul answered, “Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” 14 When he would not be dissuaded, we gave up and said, “The Lord’s will be done.”
15 After this, we started on our way up to Jerusalem. 16 Some of the disciples from Caesarea accompanied us and brought us to the home of Mnason, where we were to stay. He was a man from Cyprus and one of the early disciples.

21:27 Paul is arrested.
Acts 22 Pauls speech and testimony

Paul’s Defense at Jerusalem

22 “Brethren and fathers, hear my defense before you now.” 2 And when they heard that he spoke to them in the Hebrew language, they kept all the more silent.
Then he said: 3 “I am indeed a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, taught according to the strictness of our fathers’ law, and was zealous toward God as you all are today. 4 I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women, 5 as also the high priest bears me witness, and all the council of the elders, from whom I also received letters to the brethren, and went to Damascus to bring in chains even those who were there to Jerusalem to be punished.
6 “Now it happened, as I journeyed and came near Damascus at about noon, suddenly a great light from heaven shone around me. 7 And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’ 8 So I answered, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said to me, ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.’
9 “And those who were with me indeed saw the light [a]and were afraid, but they did not hear the voice of Him who spoke to me. 10 So I said, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’ And the Lord said to me, ‘Arise and go into Damascus, and there you will be told all things which are appointed for you to do.’ 11 And since I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of those who were with me, I came into Damascus.
12 “Then a certain Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good testimony with all the Jews who dwelt there, 13 came to me; and he stood and said to me, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight.’ And at that same hour I looked up at him. 14 Then he said, ‘The God of our fathers has chosen you that you should know His will, and see the Just One, and hear the voice of His mouth. 15 For you will be His witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. 16 And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.’
17 “Now it happened, when I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, that I was in a trance 18 and saw Him saying to me, ‘Make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly, for they will not receive your testimony concerning Me.’ 19 So I said, ‘Lord, they know that in every synagogue I imprisoned and beat those who believe on You. 20 And when the blood of Your martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by consenting [b]to his death, and guarding the clothes of those who were killing him.’ 21 Then He said to me, ‘Depart, for I will send you far from here to the Gentiles.’ ”

Paul’s Roman Citizenship

22 And they listened to him until this word, and then they raised their voices and said, “Away with such a fellow from the earth, for he is not fit to live!” 23 Then, as they cried out and [c]tore off their clothes and threw dust into the air, 24 the commander ordered him to be brought into the barracks, and said that he should be examined under scourging, so that he might know why they shouted so against him. 25 And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said to the centurion who stood by, “Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman, and uncondemned?”
26 When the centurion heard that, he went and told the commander, saying, “Take care what you do, for this man is a Roman.”
27 Then the commander came and said to him, “Tell me, are you a Roman?”
He said, “Yes.”
28 The commander answered, “With a large sum I obtained this citizenship.”
And Paul said, “But I was born a citizen.
29 Then immediately those who were about to examine him withdrew from him; and the commander was also afraid after he found out that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him.

The Sanhedrin Divided

30 The next day, because he wanted to know for certain why he was accused by the Jews, he released him from his bonds, and commanded the chief priests and all their council to appear, and brought Paul down and set him before them.

Note here in this verse What JESUS SAYS TO PAUL!!!!!!
23:11 The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

JUST AS YOU DID YOU NEED TO DO AGAIN!!

IT WAS THE CALL TO GO – Agabus had the wrong application to his the prophecy he gave and all the people that heard it… He heard right but the application was wrong.

But how Does God speak – how to we apply application to revelation???

share example…
2. I often wake up with a voice telling me what time it is. And with out a doubt when I wake up the time is excactly that when open my eyes and look at the clock. In this week I woke up with a voice telling me the time is 8:55 and as I look at the clock it is 8:55

Now what does this mean and why.

The number 8 in the Bible represents a new beginning, meaning a new order or creation, and man’s true ‘born again’ event when he is restricted the dead frinto eternal life.

The number 5 symbolizes Gods Grace goodness and favor toward humans and is mentioned 318 times in Scripture. Five is the number of grace, and multiplied by itself, which is 25, is ‘grace upon grace’ (John 1:16)

So this means double grace for a new beginning.
luke 8:55
Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat.
I am going to tell you about a dream I had but first I want to tell you a short story

Once upon a time, there were two woodcutters named Peter and John. They were often at loggerheads over who chopped more wood. So one day, they decided to hold a competition to determine the winner. The rules were simple—whoever produce the most wood in a day wins.

So the next day morning, both of them took up their positions in the forest and started chopping away in their fastest possible speed. This lasted for an hour before Peter suddenly stopped. When John realized that there was no chopping sound from his opponent’s side, he thought: “Ah Ha! He must be tired already!” And he continued to cut down his trees with double the pace.
A quarter of an hour passed, and John heard his opponent chopping again. So both of them carried on synchronously. John was starting to feel weary when the chopping from Peter stopped once again. Feeling motivated and smelling victory close by, John continued on, with a smile on his face.
This went on the whole day. Every hour, Peter would stop chopping for fifteen minutes while John kept going relentlessly. So when the competition ended, John was absolutely confident that he would take the triumph.
But to John’s astonishment, Peter had actually cut down more wood. How did this even happen? “How could you have chopped down more trees than me? I heard you stop working every hour for fifteen minutes!”, exclaimed John.
Peter replied, “Well, it’s really simple. Every time I stopped work, while you were still chopping down trees, I was sharpening my axe.”
Everybody, everywhere seems to be busy. Most people are just too busy doing and trying to achieve that they do not take the necessary time to renew themselves, to learn and grow—to sharpen the “axe”.
this week I had another
dream were the Lord was speaking to me.
I was at a store and I was kneeling in the store selecting gloves.

this si EQUIPPING
Equipping Center. Equipping and activation. James 2:17 says Isn’t it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense?

The interesting thing was that as I was kneeling down selecting the gloves to put on. There where what I believe to be 2 angels talking about me behind me like they did not notice that I could actually hear them.

and I heard them talk about so many things I am working with in the now.
Us prophets try to be in the flow and move of God.

So I heard them talk about
this scripture here ECCl 10
If the ax is dull
and its edge unsharpened,
more strength is needed,
but skill will bring success.

There is a famous quote. Some say Abraham Lincoln said it but it is not verified to him. It says give me 6 hours to chop a tree and I will use the first 4 to sharpen the axe.

Here is the thing.. us Christians we have big desires and big faith and sometimes bold moves.

BUT WE TEND TO LACK IN STRATEGY and endurance.
Remember the application to the revelation I talked about in the beginning. … I think most ministers would hear….. ok I am not to go there…. But Paul took it as a challenge..
I have been watching the new TV shows on Netflix about Michael Jordan.. opposission and challanges seems to have the same effect on him as Apostle Paul. He rises up above the challenge and threat and a challenge to him is an opportunity to show the world what he is made of.

Lets think about the Axe
the head of the Axe needs to be SHARP to do its work.

Hebrews 4:12 New International Version (NIV)

12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
NOW How exactly do you sharpen the axe?
We overwork ourselves amidst the overwhelming tasks at hand. We feel drained, exhausted and our productivity declines. Do we simply take a break, rest and relax? That isn’t sharpening the axe—that’s just putting the axe down. The blade will still be dull after your break. Yes, the woodcutter needs to rest, but it’s only when he sharpens his blade, learns new techniques, trains up his strength and stamina, that he becomes more productive.

Jeremiah 51:20
You are My battle-ax and weapons of war:
For with you I will break the nation in pieces;
With you I will destroy kingdoms;

“You are My battle-ax and weapon of war, for with you I will break the Nations in pieces; with you I will destroy kingdoms….

God was speaking about Cyrus…He called him His battle-ax, His weapon of war…
Cyrus became an instrument of judgement against many nations and kingdoms, but particularly against Babylon… which had carried the tribes of Israel and Judah into captivity..
Cyrus had the heart and vision of a warrior…he knew he was to accomplish a divine mission in the earth….It was the time for Israel to be released from bondage and God worked through Cyrus to bring His plan to pass…..

What sharpens you as a child of God is the word of God.

When the word of God is rich in you, you will be a sharp axe
Jer 23:29 Is not my word like fire and like a hammer that shatters the rock in pieces. Fire is alive and needs oxygen to breathe. God’s word is alive as well and needs the Holy spirit to breathe on the word to bring the words out from the pages into a living moving being that is Christ within us. Did not our hearts BURN when he unlocked the scriptures for us.. When Jesus walked on the road to Emmaus he showed how all the scriptures testified about him and his coming. When you SEE the truth your heart will burn for him and the MISSION God has for you. to be continued……
Isaiah 55:11–So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
