I AM stands for the name of God and is a quote from Exodus 3:13-14
Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them? “And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’

I AM Equipping Center was founded in 2018 when a few leaders in Iceland came together to pray and seek the Lord. As they met in a small upper room in Iceland, they sensed this was no normal prayer and gathering meeting as a pillar of the presence of God visited them and the glory of the Lord was tangible in the silence of the prayer meeting.

God started speaking more and more to the leaders and guiding the leaders who felt the prayers in establishing I AM Equipping Center. God spoke in a vision that this HUB would not be just an Icelandic ministry but international. In those two years the vision has been sharpened down into this quote, “Into Iceland – Out of Iceland.”

You may ask, what does that mean?

It means this ministry has a role in bringing people into Iceland to minister in the nation as well as sending mission teams out of Iceland into other nations and the world for ministry.

We can sum up the gospels in the two-letter word GO. Because we love – we go into the world with the gospel.

 

The Leaders Of  I am Equipping Center 

Bjarki Clausen and Margret Jakobsdóttir  are both from Iceland. They had the vision to see the body of Christ built upon a solid foundation both in the word and Spirit. Together they have trained and equipped multiple people to hear the voice of God for many years as well as activated them in the prophetic ministry. God spoke to Bjarki in 1995 from Ephesians 4:11 to equip the saints for the work of ministry. For many years that mission has burned in his heart and to see people equipped and moving in their gifts, callings and walking in the lifechanging power of faith.

 

 

Akua Andrade and Luis Andrade are from the USA, they have two daughters, two-sons-in-law and three grandchildren. She is a prophetic minister and revivalist, she is called to go to the nations with a mandate to preach, teach and equip God’s children to live a life of intimacy with God, to be powerful warriors in Christ, to be his mature disciple’s and ambassadors wherever they go. Akua desires is to assist members of the body of Christ to break free from any captivity or restrictions that they might find themselves in and teach them how to live victoriously by faith in the reality of being a new creation in Christ, and sons and daughters of God.

Johanna Sewon is from Sweden, a mother of 4 sons, an educated specialist nurse, and studied at bible schools. She has a heart full of Christ’s love for people and nations and a specific calling to equip and raise up the next generation of leaders. Johanna is evangelistic in finding and bringing home prodigal sons and daughters to Father God’s Kingdom, the restorer of all life. Strong graces in teaching, intercession and the prophetic are operating fluently in Johanna’s life and ministry. For all generations to mature and live from the position of the fullness of Christ’s finished work. Johanna happily serves one on one or to the bigger crowd, in complete stillness or wild celebration.

Tara Rut is from Iceland, a mother of three children. She has known God since a little girl. In 2013 she had a radical encounter with his love, after being set free from addiction, trauma and unforgiveness. She has studied theology, social work and attended Bible school. Her heart is giving people Jesus in everyday life, by using the gifts God has placed in her. She is passionate about teaching the finished works of Jesus and what it looks like walking in that truth. She longs to see people walking in transformation fully relying on the grace of God. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Eph. 2:10)
